In the legendary region of Nemea, our family first started cultivating vineyards in 1876. Nemea’s unique soil quality and climate, in combination with our continuously growing knowledge in the viticulture sector, form the basis upon which our family business has developed ever since. We invest in our products’ ultimate quality and hygiene, as well as in the delightful taste experience we offer our customers. Today, Papaioannou Organic Vineyards is a successful family business. After having experienced considerable success with a variety of wines in Greece and abroad, the youngest member of the family, George Mazos, decided to focus on the production of our globally-recognised Corinthian Raisins and share them with everyone who appreciates excellent flavours.The sole condition we set to begin production was qualitative differentiation in order to highlight the uniqueness of the historical product. Thus, we started producing Organic Corinthian Raisins in our vineyards, dried naturally in the shade, and at the same time we named it, properly and rightly, “Golden Black” in order to highlight the significance of the product.
